ARDENNE LOGISTICS PARK IN NEUFCHATEAU

Of a surface of 85 ha and located along the E411 motorway, Ardenne Logistics park comprises 300,000 m2 of surface which can be built. It is bimodal road-rail, the motorway connection is direct with E411 and E25 motorways. The integration with rural setting was particularly respected the logistic platforms and the roadway systems were established according to the relief. Important works had to be realized for these infrastructures. With the carried out landscape installations, it is a true re-creation of landscape. The valley of a brook was preserved and emphasized by the creation of stormbasins and an ecological corridor.

2. Landscaping of public green spaces 

The landscaping of public green spaces is forseen on a surface of 30 ha. It aims at giving an ecological dimension to the whole of the park of activities taking into account its situation in rural environment. Four stormbasins with an ecological character were created, an infiltration basin and three waterbasins. They are spaces of life for avifauna. Planted vegetation forms an ecological grid along these basins and in the park of activities in connection with the grid outside the site.The differentiated management of the green spaces was installed taking into account the important surfaces to be supported. A diversified fauna quickly settled finding  favourable living conditions in these rich areas. The works were completed into two  parts, the last one was checked ans signed for in 2012. The site became a place of ornithological observation by the naturalists.
